Ways you can help at Catho SLSC

•Radio Operator

•First Aid Provider

•Patrol Member (must hold a current Bronze Medallion Certificate)

•IRB Crew Member (must hold a current Bronze Medallion Certificate)•IRB Driver (must hold a current Bronze Medallion & IRB Crew Certificate)

•Nippers Age Manager (or Assistant)

•UAV Pilot

* Emergency Call Out Crew

* BBQ & Kiosk

* Water Safety

You don’t have to hold a Surf Rescue or Bronze Medallion Certificate

 

Are you interested in completing your Bronze Medallion or Surf Rescue Certificate?

 

Prerequisites:

•Unaided 400m pool swim in 9 minutes or less (SRC: 200m in 5 minutes)

•Run 200m, Swim 200m, Run 200m in 8 minutes or less (SRC: 100m)

•Be a financial member of the club

•Be at least 15 years of age on the final assessment date (SRC 13 years of age)Course Content (Dry – Online):

•Radios

•Surf Awareness & Self Rescue Skills

•Aquatic Rescue Operation

•First Aid & CPR

•Communication, Working in a team

•Public Safety, OH&S

•Spinal Management (BM only)Course Content (Wet – on the beach & in the water):

•Run, Swim, Run

•Tube Rescue

•Board Rescue

•Spinal Rescue (BM only)
