Further Upgrades to Catho Clubhouse Facilities Announced

Catho SLSC is delighted to announce the awarding of a grant from the NSW
Government, Community Building Partnership Programme for the redevelopment of
the eastern ground floor exterior to include a viewing platform and cafe seating.

This
redevelopment will comprise paving from building edge to the existing timber
handrail and provision for specific patrol viewing platform and removable shade
awning, sections for market umbrellas with cafe seating, and a designated
wash-down area to the southern end.

The cafe concept will enhance the existing kiosk and a purchase of
commercial coffee machine and extended food offerings will assist the Club to
generate additional income towards self-sustainability while servicing Club
Members, residents, and visitors to the Bay.

We are grateful to Yasmin Catley, Member for Swansea in the support
provided to this Grant.

Works will be scheduled for off-season 2016 in conjunction with LMCC
project on a new lifeguard tower in the lower section adjacent to beach access
stairs.  A plan of the redevelopment is attached.
